With this in mind, a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.biomedcentral.com\/bmcblog\/author\/bryonygraham\/\" target=\"_blank\">post-doc researcher<\/a> has written a <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.biomedcentral.com\/bmcblog\/2015\/06\/17\/impact-factors-academic-careers\/?utm_content=buffere443c&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter.com&amp;utm_campaign=buffer\" target=\"_blank\">BioMed Central blog<\/a> this week that considers the impact of these metrics on researcher&#8217;s careers.<\/p>\n<p>In this blog, the author states: &#8220;A shift in attitude of the entire community is necessary; one where we aren\u2019t required to have a <em>Nature<\/em> paper to secure funding.
