Its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ismpp.org\/initiatives\" target=\"_blank\">mission<\/a> is to advance the medical publication profession globally through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>enhanced integrity and transparency in medical publications<\/li>\n<li>improved standards and best practices<\/li>\n<li>education, advocacy, and professional collaborations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These objectives are achieved through a variety of initiatives, including annual meetings, educational resources and publication of the Good Publication Practice (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ismpp.org\/gpp3\" target=\"_blank\">GPP<\/a>) guidelines, which advocate ethical and transparent publication practices.<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, the ISMPP also launched the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ismpp.org\/code-of-ethics-a\" target=\"_blank\">ISMPP Code of Ethics<\/a>, which sets out a series of ethical principles for good publication practice, serving as guidance for medical writers and communicators, publication planners, editors, and publishers. A <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ismpp.org\/code-of-ethics-a\" target=\"_blank\">revised version of the code<\/a> has now been released.
