A blog from BioMed Central (@biomedcentral)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Recently, COPE held a <a href=\"http:\/\/publicationethics.org\/cope-european-seminar-and-workshop-2015\">seminar<\/a> on metrics and how they shape publication (mis)behavior. A <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.biomedcentral.com\/bmcblog\/2015\/04\/21\/metrics-meaningful\/\" target=\"_blank\">blog<\/a> published in the past few days by BioMed Central (and written by <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.biomedcentral.com\/bmcblog\/author\/elizabethmoylan\/\" target=\"_blank\">Elizabeth Moylan<\/a>) provides a top-line summary of the key findings from this seminar.<\/p>\n<p>One of the conclusions from the blog is: &#8220;As always after a workshop, one is left with questions: what is the take home message and what practical steps should journal editors take?
